Title: Mini-golf
Played with each other... Played against each other...
Cheering and booing all the way to hole-20...
What fun! :)

Title: Half Moon Bay
Sound of waves at a distance...
Warm sand under the bare feet...
Sun saving us from the chilly winds...
With a favorite novel in hand and my beloved by my side...
What more could I ask for? :)
It was a hazy and windy day at the beach.
Was I able to play in the water at the beach? No.
But did I miss it? Not at all! :)

Title: Subaru Outback
Since childhood our family traveled in Jeeps (cars that are designed for use on rough terrain). The first time I had to travel in a car like Maruti or Ambassador, I bumped my head onto the roof of the car. I hate getting into such cars. They seem so tiny and with their doors, I found them very suffocating. When I think of owning a car, I always imagine myself climb up into the car rather than creep down into a car.
Whenever we go out on long drives, Vikram seems to count the number of Subaru Outback vehicles along the way. The purpose of this is to emphasize how many people who love nature or travel use this vehicle. Needless to say, he loves the model and dreams of buying it as our second car. I always use to say "No way!", just for the heck of it! :-)
When I was in the east coast away from V, one day I realized that I was looking out for Subaru Outbacks. It became kind of a habit. Oh God! How much I missed him! I am happy that those days are over! :-)

Divine Accident
Found this quote in my today’s iGoogle page:
"The most wonderful of all things in life, I believe, is the discovery of another human being with whom one's relationship has a glowing depth, beauty, and joy as the years increase. This inner progressiveness of love between two human beings is a most marvelous thing, it cannot be found by looking for it or by passionately wishing for it. It is a sort of Divine accident."
- Sir Hugh Walpoe

I am so accustomed to viewing the iGoogle page everyday, I will surely miss it. Why do they have to retire this product?

Title: Games
We sometimes behave so childishly.. or may be.. childlike...!!! At the Monterey Bay Aquarium, there were so many activities for the kids to do... like guessing the names of fishes, or where they live, or guiding some fish to its home etc. etc. We also played each of those games and the best one being the one shown in the picture. We had to spin the wheel and based on the number, move the magnetic hermit-crabs that many blocks. The first one to reach "Welcome Home" block is the winner.
V and I played and after a long series of jumps and falls, he won... But that's not important; what is important is the time spent together! (I wonder if I would write this, had I won instead! :-D)

For Shuchi and her better half...
Wish you a Very Happy First Month Anniversary!!!
This is time when everything looks pink and perfect...
There is a feeling of "love is in the air"...
The time when 24 hours ain't enough when together...
And one minute seems a lifetime when apart..
Every little thing is cherished and celebrated and given more love...
The glow in the face and sparkle in the eyes...
More swing in the stride... More smile on the lips...
The feeling that every romantic song in the world was written just for the two!
The feeling that with you by my side I can win the world!
The feeling of oneness even in silence...
The feeling that is more than love!
May you two live like this... always and forever!
Needless to say.. This post is dedicated to the two loving souls!

Title: Moonlight Trail
At various spots on the trail, there were people with guitars, singing and playing their instruments. We were lost in the land of peace and calm.
There was light drizzle but the sky cleared up soon.
A walk through the wild... In the moonlight... Hand in hand...
These photos do not do any justice to what we experienced! It was such a wonderful feeling.
The trail was lined on both sides with little serial lights. It was as though the little lights at our feet were leading us into another world...
There was light drizzle but the sky cleared up soon.
As an added bonus, we had a nice ride in the school bus from the parking lot to the moonlight trail. This happened at the Erna Nixon Park.

Happy Anniversary!
Happy Anniversary Amma and Appa!
I admire the way you both are perfect match for each other... with the same kind of thoughts and tastes.. ever present for each other... through all the ups and downs..
I remember the time during Raji's wedding... When you were on the mandapam and Amma entered into the wedding hall wearing the voilet pattu sari... The way your eyes lit up at the sight of her... the expression of love on both of your faces... and the way Amma blushed when we all teased you both with the song:
Bholi si surat aankhon mein masti dur khadi sharmaaye..
Ek jhalak dhikhlaaye kabhi kabhi aanchal mein chupjaaye...
Meri nazar se tum dekho tho yaar nazar woh aaye...
I can never ever forget that!
All songs of Guide remind me of you both... The song in the background.. with Amma singing along and you whistling the tunes...
Tere mere sapne ab ek rang hai..
Jahan bhi le jaaye raahein hum sang hai..
I am so lucky to be a part of our family! :)

Rainbow...
Showers of rain...
And warm sunshine...
While the rain bows to the sun outside,
Happy and sad emotions stir up in me
warming my heart and making me rain!

Title: Reading out aloud
Lucky are those who love their spouses and luckier are those who share their love of reading.
Nothing seems more peaceful than listening to the booming voice of the better-half narrating the story of an English boy who wants to be a detective ("When we were orphans") and leading me through the lanes of London; while I lie down with my eyes shut and letting my imagination soar to look at the same London lanes in my mind's eye! I lose myself in the high and lows of his voice and am totally engrossed in the narrative. Such moments in life are precious. They are to be cherished even if they last for just a couple of paragraphs... During those moments of togetherness, there is complete oneness of soul! Ooh! What a bliss! :-)
By the way, this photo is taken in Rosicrucian Egyptian museum, San Jose. We visited the place last week. I have so much to say about the museum; all that will be coming up as a separate post. It could be a series of posts, who knows?!! ;-)

Music...
With V so far from me, I have only one thing to give me company.
Music!
It's amazing how music brings peace to my mind... It makes me forget my loneliness...
When I work, I have a single song run in the background for hours together... It does not bore me at all! In fact, it helps me focus more on work and less on the song!!!
So, for another 3 days, I can follow the same ritual... And then??? And then I will have V with me! :)

For past two days, I have been swinging to all my favorite dance numbers in Hindi and Telugu and Tamil... Of course, I would not want to play romantic numbers... They would give me heartache!

Title: Compliments!
These days I am all into playing computer games on V's new i-Pad. And my favorite game of all is the 'Bust A Marble'. That's where I get to burst marbles making crunching sounds! The only catch in the game is: every time we lose, we need to start all over again from Level-1. There is no way to save the latest level of the game and pick up from where we left.
When I completed 13 levels in the game for the very first time, I was all excited. I was jumping and screaming "I won! I won! I won! I have crossed 13 levels!" And you know what V said: "Marbelous!" That's the best compliment I got in the recent times!
'Bust A Marble' is a 'marbelous' game indeed! :)
