Little things that make my day...

V pointing me to a humming bird during a walk...

Watching the shadow of clouds on the green sierra mountains...

Watching the colors of the sky during sunset...

Watching an uninterrupted episode of Bill Cosby Show...
The pedometer on my phone shows I have walked a distance of 2.5+ miles...

...All these little things brighten my day!

Double Rainbow!

One of those rare sights... a double rainbow...

Praneeth and Nandini calling us at the same time to V and me on our cell phones...
Asking us to look out of our window... to enjoy the beautiful sight...

Thanks to the two of them... else we would have missed this nature's beauty...

Finding some treasures are... as simple as opening the window or looking into the sky...
We just need to keep our eyes open...
Probably nose too.. :)
To take in the smell of wet earth when the first rain drops fall onto the dry land...
How about keeping the ears open as well...
To listen the birds calling out to each other...
or to hear the splash of the waves at the beach...
Nature never stops to amaze me...

Eggs on a rock

Came to know that Common Murres lay eggs on bare rocks. So, rocks are their nests... What if the eggs roll over and fall from the rocks? No they don't. The eggs are shaped in a way that even if they move, they will move in circles. One of the many wonders of Mother Nature!

Where did I learn all this? During one of our National/state park visits. I try to take photos of the placards which have new facts (new to me!) about nature.
